Zach Day claimed off waivers

Well, sorry for not being around for about ten days everyone, had things to do.
Yesterday the Nationals claimed Zach Day off waivers from the Colorado Rockies.
If you remember correctly, the Nationals have cast off Day and acquired Preston Wilson in the process, who left for free-agency. He wasn't doing well in Colorado either, and they designated him for assignement. I guess Jim Bowden still wasn't sober as he claimed him back off waivers. Day was traded because of attitude problems and did not have a good relationship with manager Frank Robinson.
Day always had the potential to be one of those upper-tier pitchers, he posesses perhaps the best sinker in baseball but for some reason last season, it wasn't sinking and that cost him his rotation spot and awarded him with a 6.75 ERA.
In light of this "new" "acquisition", the Nationals optioned Billy Traber, who had one bad start, to New Orleans AAA, and designated outfielder Tyrrell Goodwin (who is like and Endy Chavez lite) for assignement.
Day might be a good fit now that John Patterson was placed on the 15-day disabled list.
We'll have to wait and see, he starts tomorrow against the Cardinals.
